Felix & Co. was born out of the love of great coffee shared by two friends. We source the best beans from the finest boutique
roasters across Australia. We focus on seasonal fresh-crop coffee,
offering various blends and single origins.
Coffee is our life’s passion and our craft,
which we have spent years developing and refining.
The name Felix & Co. speaks to the heritage of coffee.
First cultivated during the 15th century in Arabia Felix (Yemen),
coffee began to reach the wider world by the 16th century and
entrench itself in society, becoming an integral
part of everyday life.
Coffee houses were established in Turkey, Persia and Egypt
(often referred to as 'Schools of the Wise') and in major cities
throughout England, Austria, France, Germany and Holland.
By the early 17th century London coffee houses
(or ‘penny universities’ as they were called, due to the wealth of
information that was discussed over a cup of coffee) had become
the centre of everyday life. Goods were traded, ideas exchanged,
discoveries made and new businesses established (Lloyd’s
of London, the London Stock Exchange, Sotherby’s and Christie’s all
have their origins in London coffee houses).
Coffee has been at the heart of trade, learning and innovation
for hundreds of years. This is why Felix & Co. has established its home in Nedlands, nestled in a hub of
education and discovery.
